Political correctness may have a place in business culture, but it has no place in the publishing world. The problem with Google's position is that it places blame for why they cannot participate in a particular website solely on the publisher him/herself. In truth, the fault lies with Google. As a business, they do NOT (and cannot) support freedom of expression, strongly or otherwise. If they did, they would lose business in droves. To avoid this, Google must only associate itself with sites that appear to be fully neutral. That, in and of itself, may also cause them to lose business.
